Winter Break Extended to January 10

Happy New Year!
As you know, the Minister of Education announced an extension to the Christmas Break for all students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 – this includes students accessing Hāpara virtual, Home Education, and the TLCs until January 10th, 2022. In GYPSD, this also includes children in Pre-K programming. During these four days, there will also be no extracurricular, athletics, or team practices.
The Minister has also announced that Grade 12 Diploma exams are canceled for January. However, at this time, Provincial Achievement Tests in Grades 6 and 9 are still scheduled to take place near the end of January.
