Student Registration

New Student Registration and Returning Student Verification forms in Grande Yellowhead Public School Division are conducted exclusively online. All parents and guardians must complete a registration form or returning student verification form before their student can be registered for the upcoming school year.  

Please note, École Pine Grove Middle School has a computer available for any families requiring access or assistance when filling out the form.

Online Registration

New Student is one who has never been enrolled in a school in GYPSD or was not enrolled in a GYPSD school on the last day of school in the previous school year, as well as new kindergarten students entering school for the first time.

Returning Student is one who was enrolled in a GYPSD school on the last day of the previous school year (e.g. students entering Grades 1-12).

Snapcodes have been emailed to families for the Returning Student Verification Form to confirm enrolment for the 2021/2022 school year.

All Returning Student Verification forms must be submitted for the 2021/2022 school year prior to September 7.

If you are choosing Learn-at-Home Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning for the 2021/2022 school year, you MUST complete the returning student verification form where your child(ren) are currently registered. For example, if your child attended Pine Grove last year and will be accessing Learn-at-Home Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning education this year, they still register as a Pine Grove student.

*Please be aware that August 30, 2021 will be cutoff for bus registrations and any incoming registrations after August 30th, 2021 will have a one to two week processing period before being able to be assigned to a bus .  Thank you for your understanding.*

Information on School Bus Registration

To ensure the safety of all students riding on Grande Yellowhead School Division buses, all passengers must be registered to ride the school bus and students may only load or unload the school bus at their designated stop or school. Parents are encouraged to review the school bus rider rules with their children and communicate alternate transportation plans with your child’s bus driver. 

NEW for 2021/2022

All students, both new and returning riders, are now required to complete an online registration form. An email following your registration form will be sent confirming your registration status within 2-3 business days. Please contact the transportation department at 780-723-4471 if you have not received this confirmation. School jurisdictions are provided funding to transport eligible students to their designated school only. Please read Policy 17- Student Transportation Services for more information. Other applicable user fees will be charged annually according to Policy 17, Appendix A. To check which school is your child(rens) designated school, you can view the Bus Planner link below. Policy 17, Appendix B - Occasional Rider Request has also been added this year for those who require a seat for a child due to a special circumstance.
