Our first meeting will be September 29th at 7:00 P.M. at Pine Grove Middle School. You are welcome to attend. If you have any questions or would like something added to the meeting agenda, you can call the school or email our school council president at, pgcouncil@gypsd.ca.
A school council is a means for parents and community members to work together with the principal and the school to support and enhance student learning. Members of our local school council work with our school in an advisory role on educational matters such as academic programs to school policies and budgeting. According to the School Act, “a school council may advise the school respecting any matter relating to the school”. Anyone that attends council meetings will be considered a part of the school council and will have a vote in decisions.
